Hand picked by Jeffsetter, these are the travel bloggers that you need to follow. While there are hundreds of thousands of bloggers out there, these are the resources that I turn to in order to get my perspective and learn the frequent flyer game.
View from the Wing by Gary Leff
This is the guy who got me into the points and miles game. He is also considered the godfather of travel blogging and has been a big time contributor to the advancement of our knowledge of points and miles. He even invented the term Skypesos to describe the Delta Skymiles program.
One Mile at a Time by Ben “Lucky” Schlappig
Even though he calls him self “lucky” on his blog, Ben is a self made travel genius. Already a frequent traveler before hitting 20, Ben provides his readers a view of what it’s like to book and redeem award travel on a variety of airlines. Want to know what it’s like flying in first class? Today is your lucky day.
The Points Guy by Brian “the Points Guy” Kelly
I like the Points Guys website because he does it all; teaching you about how to earn points, how to use points, where to travel and what aspirational travel looks like. I used his advice to get to Mauritius on my honeymoon and have used his blog as a guiding point for several other trips. Since becoming a full time blogger, Brian is publishing important guides and even becoming an on-air personality on national TV shows.
Million Mile Secrets by Daraius Dubash
Million Mile Secrets makes aspirational travel accessible. The author, Darius, and I have a lot in common. We got married around the same time, and used miles and points for our honeymoon. I even used Darius’s trip recaps to plan my trip to Moorea.
Hack my Trip by Scott “Scottrick” Mackenzie
I have linked to Hack my Trip a few times and his articles are always good. If I could steal the name of a blog from someone, it would be hack my trip!
The Frequent Miler by Greg Davis-Kean
If you want to research the best way to earn miles via credit card signup bonuses, gift cards, points malls, etc. this is the guy you need to follow.
Live and Let’s Fly by Matthew Klint
While he doesn’t post too often, I have found Matthew’s blog to be top notch for gaining insider information over the years.
Giddy for Points by Elena Garcia
Elena and I started our blogs around the same time, and she is the first person I interacted with after I started this blog. Can’t wait to meet her in person at an upcoming travel conference!
