Tomorrow I will be adding a new feature to Jeffsetter and I couldn’t be more excited about it! The basic premise is that I will be interviewing travelers from all walks of life and learn more about their travel habits. The first travel interview is a great one and I can’t wait to post it for everyone to read the insights provided by the interview subject.
This is not your standard interview process. For starters, all questions are uniquely written based on my knowledge of the person being interviewed. No two questions are the same, which means that the answers are more candid than you might expect to see. While I enjoy interviews, I often find them to be more enjoyable and insightful when the questions are well researched and designed to illicit a response from the person being interviewed. That is my goal here and I hope it hits the mark for all of you reading!
Depending on the interest in the interviews and potential success, there will be opportunity for more travel interviews. I have a list of people who I think would be great interviewees, but I am also hoping that readers will contribute interview ideas in the future as well. I am not at the point where I will be accepting interview requests from individuals directly, because I want to make sure that each interview has high quality questions and answers. The amount of research, graphics and time going into each interview is quite a bit more than most interviews, so it may be that I don’t post a conversation every single Tuesday.
Who will be my First Travel Interview?
Now that we have housekeeping out of the way, can you guess who the first interviewee is? Here are a few hints:
- I credit this person with introducing me to the points and miles game
- This person lives in the United States, East of the Mississippi
- They have been involved with travel for more than 10 years
Leave a comment if you think you know the answer and maybe you will get something special out of it!
