Awesome! Earn Alaska Miles with Lyft!

November 3, 2022 by Island Miler

Wow! Two of my preferred travel partners are teaming up to provide us with more value! Yup, beginning immediately, you can earn Alaska miles with Lyft!

Partnerships within different sectors of the travel industry have been becoming increasingly common in recent years as everyone tries to attract more business. The latest, of course, is a new partnership between Alaska Airlines and Lyft. This matchup is perfect for me, as I prefer to fly Alaska domestically and have been using Lyft, thanks to their partnership with Chase.

Earn Alaska Miles with Lyft!

Effective immediately, you can earn Alaska miles with Lyft. Specifically, you’ll earn 1 mile for every $1 you spend with  Lyft. That’s great, as it gives us another way to stock up on awesome Alaska miles when we aren’t flying, shopping, or using their credit card. Plus, if you use your Chase Sapphire Reserve to pay for your ride, you’ll earn 10 points per $1 – 5 points per $1 with the Sapphire Preferred, Freedom Flex, and Freedom Unlimited.

Bonus Offer

From now until the end of the year, Alaska and Lyft are giving us a fantastic bonus to celebrate their new partnership – earn 2 miles per $1!

How to Earn Alaska Miles with Lyft

Though the relationship is already live, you don’t automatically earn Alaska Miles with Lyft. To do so, you first have to link your account via alaskalyft.com. There, you’ll sign into your Alaska Mileage Plan account and agree to their terms, then you’ll sign into your Lyft account and agree to their terms. That’s it.

Final Thoughts

I took several fairly pricy Lyft rides during our recent trip to the PNW, and this partnership would’ve been great to have at that time. However, with another upcoming trip, I may need ridesharing again and will certainly take advantage of this new set up too. Earning 2 Alaska miles and 10 Ultimate Rewards points per $1 spent? That’s a no-brainer!
