After our post-hike treat at Salt & Straw, headed to a light lunch at Boudin. Then, I wanted to get a view of the Oakland Bay Bridge, and the best way to do that is visiting San Francisco's Treasure Island. … [Read more...] about Visiting San Francisco’s Treasure Island

Lava Fields in Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park
At first I wasn't impressed with Hawai'i volcanoes national park. We paid an entry fee and drove to an active volcano viewing area. Even then, a smooth journey isn't guaranteed. Our first flight was canceled (mid flight). We were denied the second flight. The third time was a charm, as we finally were able to set foot on the fabled pine … [Read more...] about Aerial View of the Isle of Pines in New Caledonia

A Castle in the Rolling Hills of Barolo, Italy
Finally on solid ground in the United States, and figured I would do a brief post with a picture that just keeps on drawing my attention above all others. We were eating lunch on our way to the castle of Barolo, which conveniently houses the wine museum (where you learn about the history of wine). It takes about 2 years to get your final bill (and pay the bill) in Italy, so … [Read more...] about A Castle in the Rolling Hills of Barolo, Italy
