China was a short stop for us in July 2026, two nights at Amanyangyun on the edge of Shanghai on our way to Taipei. They moved an entire village to build the place, and our room was one of the best hard products of any hotel we've stayed at. A tailor came to the hotel to fit us for suits and came back the next night with them finished, and lunch was a hot pot loaded with wagyu. There's nothing like an Aman, and we'd go back in a heartbeat.
