Amanda planned 11 days in Portugal for us in April 2026, from Lisbon down through Alentejo wine country to the Algarve and back up the coast to Cascais. We started at Palacio Ludovice in Bairro Alto, with our room looking out over the whole city, then spent four nights at Herdade da Malhadinha Nova, a 744-hectare wine estate where lunch one day was a picnic in the vineyards with six bottles open on the table. Cascais gave us the best day of the trip, with a drive out to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of Europe, and a walking food tour that ended with Santini ice cream.
