We spent three weeks in Spain in June and July 2026, starting in Cordoba at the Bailío and ending up in Salamanca, where we rented an apartment for 12 nights and had two of our favorite meals of the trip at ConSentido and En la Parra. Malaga was the surprise. The old town is walkable, half of it is pedestrian, and the solomillo at Farina was the best steak any of us have ever had. The splurge was a night at Abadía Retuerta, a three Michelin Key hotel in an old monastery with a Michelin-star restaurant inside, and we liked their wine enough to ship a case home.
