Enter to Win 1 Million HawaiianMiles

September 18, 2018 by Island Miler

It’s no secret that I’m not the biggest fan of HawaiianMiles.  Their value to me is just, okay.  But with the loss of Korean Air SkyPass as an Ultimate Rewards transfer partner, finding great value for Hawaii travel is a lot more difficult.  A ton of miles are a ton of miles, so it’s a no-brainer to enter to win 1 million HawaiianMiles.

That’s right; there’s a contest going on in which you can win 1,000,000 HawaiianMiles!  Actually, the contest is giving away a total of 1,350,000 HawaiianMiles.

How to Enter

The 1,000,000 HawaiianMiles giveaway is being put on by Barclays.  And, as you may imagine, this contest revolves around the use of a Hawaiian Airlines World Elite Mastercard.  Specifically, every eligible transaction made with your card between September 1, 2018, and October 31, 2018, will count as an entry.  Returns, as you might imagine, do not count as an entry.  Neither do balance transfers, cash advances, finance charges, and so forth.

You don’t, however, have to be a cardholder to enter.  You may also enter via the alternate entry method.  To do so, send a 3×5 inch piece of paper with your hand-written first and last name, home address, city, state, zip code, day and evening phone number, e-mail address, and HawaiianMiles number.  This piece of paper should then be put in an envelope with appropriate postage and sent to Hawaiian Airlines Million HawaiianMiles Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 488, Milltown, NJ 08850-0488.   You may enter as many times as you’d like via the alternate entry method, though you may include only one entry form per envelope.

Eligibility

This contest is open to residents of the 50 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico age 18-years and older.  Those entering that are cardholders must not be delinquent or have caused Barclays a loss.

Prize

The grand prize, of course, is 1,000,000 HawaiianMiles.  But if you aren’t able to nab that prize, two first place winners will win 100,000 HawaiianMiles, while three, second place winners will win 50,000 HawaiianMiles.  50,000 HawaiianMiles, by the way, will get you a single roundtrip ticket between Hawaii and North America in economy.  Alternatively, you could use 50,000 HawaiianMiles for a one-way economy ticket between North America. and the South Pacific, or between Hawaii and the South Pacific, Australia, New Zealand, Korea, or Japan.

If you win 100,000 HawaiianMiles, that’ll get you a single roundtrip ticket in economy from Hawaii to any international destination on Hawaiian, or two roundtrip tickets between Hawaii and North America.  Alternatively, 100,000 miles are good for a roundtrip first class saver award between Hawaii and North America, or you could use it for a one-way first class saver award to any other Hawaiian Air destination from Hawaii.

With 1,000,000 HawaiianMiles, well, you could fly anywhere in any class of service on Hawaiian Air.  The same hold trues for award flights on all Hawaiian Air partners.

Enter to Win 1 Million HawaiianMiles, Final Thoughts

If you won 1,000,000 HawaiianMiles, what would you do with them?  Me?  I’m not so sure.  Haven’t really thought about it.  But I’d definitely appreciate it.  If you do plan on entering, though, good luck to you.  And if you are one of the lucky winners, you’ll find out on or around November 19, 2018.

The question, though, is this promotion enough to get you to use your Hawaiian Airlines World Elite Mastercard?  I don’t keep my card in my wallet, as I use it exclusively for Hawaiian Air purchases.  After all, putting significant spend on the card just isn’t worth it and the chances of winning are small.  So, I might put at least a couple of transactions on the card during the promotional period.  To those that do decide to enter, however, good luck!
