While the Westin Hapuna is a large, gorgeous property, it lacks variety when it comes to dining. In fact, the Ikena Landing Breakfast is the only breakfast service available aside from room service.
As you’ll recall, the premise for my recent trip to the Big Island was our anniversary. So, of course, I had to schedule a great dinner or two. And the first of our two anniversary dinners was at Merriman’s Waimea.
The day after my visit to Code 3 Urgent Care, I began feeling better. So I got myself miso soup and rice via room service for lunch. And then, for dinner, I went to get udon at Cafe Sanuki Las Vegas.
For those of you that don’t already know, I love malasadas. My favorite before they closed was Champions in Honolulu. So, I had to give the Big Island’s best, Tex Drive In, a try too.
Being a Caesars Reward Diamond Member, I had a Celebration Dinner to use. So, I decided to use it at the Old Homestead Steakhouse at Caesars Palace. Why? Because I love a good steak.
I finally got to try Scott Conant’s cuisine this past April. But, I’ve learned that, since then his restaurant has closed. But I’m still reviewing the defunct Masso Osteria Las Vegas since his signature dish is still available elsewhere on the Strip.
