Earn 10x HawaiianMiles this weekend on shopping and dining at the International Market Place.
The International Market Place is turning one! And to celebrate its first birthday, the landmark Waikiki shopping center will be awarding HawaiianMiles.
Earning HawaiianMiles at the IMP
On Saturday, 10/26/17, and Sunday, 10/27/17, you can earn 10x HawaiianMiles per dollar spent at the International Market Place. The way this offer will work is virtually the same as other similar offers at Hawaii’s other malls. This means you’ll have to spend a minimum of $100 at any combination of shops and restaurants at the IMP, which translates to 1,000 HawaiianMiles. The maximum you may spend under this promotion is $1,000, which will net you 10,000 HawaiianMiles.
For shoppers/diners to receive their miles, they must make their minimum spend on the same day. IMP is controlling this by requiring all same day receipts be:
- Time stamped between 10 am and 10 pm
- Redeemed by 10 pm
Combining receipts from both Saturday and Sunday will not be permitted under any circumstances. Also, total spend is exclusive of tax and gratuity, of course. Further, miles will be void on returned purchases. And if you’re wondering, no, gift card purchases don’t count. There is also a maximum of two receipts from the same store.
Making the Minimum Spend
Making the $100 minimum will not be difficult at the IMP. The shopping center is, after all, a luxury mall. And while I don’t often shop here, Mrs. Island Miler and I do dine at the IMP from time to time. And it is not hard to spend $100, especially at Yauatcha or Eating House. Strip Steak, Herringbone and Kona Grill are quite costly too, though we’ve never been to Strip or Herringbone. But even The Street HNL food hall and Kona Coffee Purveyors downstairs can get quite pricey too. Dinner at The Street on its own, without alcohol, will usually cost us at least $30.
Earn 10x HawaiianMiles This Weekend Final Thoughts
The International Market Place’s one year anniversary is an excellent opportunity to earn some additional HawaiianMiles. I would not, however, go out of my way to take advantage of this offer. So don’t go buying something just to get the miles. But, perhaps a nice dinner out might be worthwhile, especially if you double dip and use your Chase Freedom to pay. That way you’ll get 5x Ultimate Rewards points and 10x HawaiianMiles.
