New for 2024 Mastercard Benefits

April 12, 2024 by Island Miler

Everyone is familiar with credit card benefits from card issuers, such as the Chase Sapphire Reserve’s $300 annual travel credits. But card networks also provide benefits, and I’m not talking about concierge services or hotel discounts. So let’s go over the new for 2024 Mastercard benefits.

One of my favorite Mastercard benefits is also the only one that’s permanent – Mastercard ID Theft Protection. It’s a FREE ID monitoring and recovery service, and all you have to do to get it is have any Mastercard debit or credit card. However, there are other benefits that come and go, such as an Instacart benefit that’s similar to the one Chase currently offers, along with a temporary Shop Runner membership, similar to Amex’s benefit. But, now, there are new for 2024 Mastercard benefits, most of which focuses on travel.

New for 2024 Mastercard Benefits

There are five new for 2024 Mastercard benefits I’ll be going over today.

Alo Moves

The first of the five new 2024 Mastercard benefits is Alo Moves – receive a 50% discount off your membership and get 300 Alo Access points when you signup with your World Elite Mastercard. If you didn’t know, Alo Moves is a subscription-based guided exercise and yoga program. Membership typically runs $13/month or $130/year, and the Mastercard offer is valid for both membership types and runs through 9/30/2025.

Booking.com

This one is open to all Mastercard cardholders, and gets you up to 7% off your stay when you prepay with your Mastercard. This one is also valid through 9/30/2025.

HealthLock

This one complements the aforementioned Mastercard ID Theft Protection, but, as the name suggests, is focused on monitoring your health records, and providing you with resolution services if they become compromised. For cardholders, you’ll receive a complimentary 90-day Platinum membership, which would typically cost a whopping $90! The membership will not auto-renew at the end of the membership period, so if you try it and like it, you’ll have to re-enroll. Gold and Silver plans are also available at $20 and $10/month, respectively. This offer has no expiration date.

Lyft

Through 9/30/2025, you’ll receive  $5 credit for every three rides you take with Lyft. Plus, World Elite Mastercard cardholders will receive 10% off when they take a scheduled ride to a U.S. airport.

ResortPass

The last of the five new for 2024 Mastercard benefits is a statement credit for spending a certain amount with ResortPass, which is a program that allows you to access a resorts amenities for a day. The statement credit varies on card type, coming in at $20 for World and $30 for World Elite cardholders. To receive the statement credit, you have to spend at least $200 for a single booking.

New for 2024 Mastercard Benefits

For what it’s worth prices in Hawaii range from $25 to over $1,000. The $25 level grants you access to not-so-desirable properties, such as the Hyatt Centric Waikiki (have you seen their pool?!). On the high end, you have the Grand Wailea, which forces you into a cabana for $1,150. Of course, there are many properties in between, many of which have different levels, including basic access, daybeds, and cabanas. Some even have day rooms, like the Maui Seaside Hotel at $200, while others offer experiences, such as a luau experience for $182 at the Hilton Waikoloa Village.

Final Thoughts

The value of the above benefits aren’t the greatest, but that’s by design, as they’re not locked to a specific card product. As such, they’re not the kind of things I’d go out of my way take advantage of, but if I was going to use the service anyway, why not? Of course, you don’t have to have a card with an annual fee like the Hawaiian Airlines World Elite Mastercard to enjoy the best benefits. Remember the Chase Freedom Flex is a World Elite Mastercard, and it has no annual fee!

Anyway, for the enrollment links for the above benefits, visit mastercard.com.
