Virtually every airline right now is allowing customers to make changes during specific timeframes free of charge. But, Southwest already allows this, so they’re taking things a step further – Southwest is waiving fare differences AND is extending expiration dates!

Yesterday, news broke that Southwest allegedly received special treatment from the FAA during the validation of its Hawaii flights. That’s not the kind of allegation the FAA needs right now after the 737 MAX debacle.
Great news, Hawaii travelers! Southwest now serves all major Hawaii airports with the inauguration of the Airline’s new Hilo service this past weekend. But their growth in the aloha state isn’t over yet.
Currently, ANA has two Airbus A380s flying between Hawaii and Japan. But, the final Flying Honu enters service this summer, adding even greater capacity between Japan and Hawaii. Plus, Southwest’s VP of Network planning talks about the Airline’s Hawaii service.
