Today I received a promotional email from Chase announcing exclusive hotel deals for Chase Ink customers. Being an Ink Bold cardholder and frequent Jetsetter user, I was curious to see what they had to offer.
Unfortunately, they don’t set any price expectations in the email, so you are forced to go to the website to see prices. Even worse, you need to register with Jetsetter before going to the next page. Way to make it easy on us, guys.
Once you get into the site, though, it does appear that some good deals are available. Most weekday nights in December are available for only $95 per night and $120 – $180 on weekends. There is decent availability too.
The same room is available for $109 on most competitor websites.
Is this a good deal?
Sure, if you want to save $16 per night and you already have plans to stay in Vegas… but I wouldn’t rush out and buy airplane tickets if you weren’t already planning to travel to Las Vegas during the promotional time period.
To be honest, I’m a little disappointed that the discount isn’t higher. When exclusive savings are touted as part of being a card holder, they usually do have some sort of air of exclusivity (amenities included, steep discount, multi-night discounts). That’s not really the case here. Just a pedestrian $16 savings, which is about the equivalent of one oversized margarita in a long skinny plastic cup. Vegas baby.
