We recently hit our 100 day mark on the road, so I dedicated this week’s episode to talking about how things gone so far, what we have learned, and our approach moving forward.
Spoiler alert: It has been great.
We have very few regrets about the choice. But we are going to make some adjustments based on our experiences for the first 100 days.
For example, we are going to try and stay longer in each location. I am also going to try and join a coworking space once we do make a longer stay.
Sorry for the audio quality – while I had my Yeti microphone plugged in, Audacity decided to record using the onboard microphone on my Macbook. This has happened too many times.
Berlin and Prague are both great cities. Public transportation is extensive which would help. Of course in Prague you would get a better exchange rate than Berlin. I think both would be a great place to put down temporary roots. There is a small wine culture in the Czech republic. They do not produce enough to export though so many Americans don’t know they produce wine. In Berlin it would probably be easier to get around to other countries. The trains are excellent in Germany. Also you will probably have less language issues in Berlin.
Appreciate the comment! Prague just sounds perfect, so would love to be there for some period of time. Didn’t know about the wine region, but it makes sense when you put it that way. We would really like to become fluent in Spanish, so that is a big part of our desire to visit that area (and get a Visa). Either way, glad that we have options and I’m sure that all will be excellent. Thanks!
