Now that I have been living in San Francisco for 8 months, I can safely say that you have a 50% chance of seeing one of the most beautiful sunsets in your life on any given night. Sunrises and sunsets are so incredible that I often find myself lazily admiring out my window without picking up the camera. "It'll be just as nice tomorrow" is an easy sentiment to take on when … [Read more...] about San Francisco Financial District at Sunset
Lake Tahoe. A beautiful place where you can go skiing and hit up a beach on the same day. At least that is what I did as I learned to ski for the first time this winter. Turns out I'm a natural. Kind of like the natural beauty of Lake Tahoe. Once skiing wrapped up we drove down to catch the sunset on the lake. After googling locations, we ended up at Zephyr Cove on the … [Read more...] about Beaches of Zephyr Cove in Lake Tahoe
I once considered getting married at Auberge Du Soleil in Rutherford, CA. But alas, I had to settle for appetizers on their observation deck years later. Maybe not the same as a full-fledged wedding, but the views still beautiful. This is an HDR photo right as the sun started to set on Napa Valley. There was a very distinct “I’ve been there!” feeling throughout … [Read more...] about Swimsuit Models vs. Jeffsetter: Who did the Cook Islands Better?
This week's Photo Friday is more of a photo essay. Last weekend I was invited to a friends cabin in northern Minnesota. … [Read more...] about Breathtaking Fall Photo Opportunities in… Northern Minnesota?

If there are no clouds in the sky, you are limited by the amount of color you may see at sunset. Cumulus clouds are nice and attract light from the sun as it goes down and provide a contrast from the sky as the sunsets. … [Read more...] about [Friday Photo] Sunset over the Lagoon in Moorea, French Polynesia
Because I am feeling a little guilty about my lack of progress on completing my Tahiti/Cook Islands trip reports, I decided that this week's photo Friday would demonstrate some of the beauty I saw while staying in French Polynesia. The sunsets in French Polynesia were amazing - probably the best that I have seen in my life and definitely the best that I have … [Read more...] about [Photo Friday] Tahitian Sunset on the Island of Moorea
