May Day is Lei Day in Hawaii Nei. And like in years past, Hawaiian Airlines is celebrating with a contest!
Last year Hawaiian Airlines gave away HawaiianMiles for Lei Day (May 1). And, this year, Hawaiian is holding another Lei Day contest. But this year, the prize is bigger.
CeLEIbrate Aloha Photo Contest 2018 Prize
Rather than just awarding HawaiianMiles, the 2018 contest winner will receive a mix of prizes. Last year, I think the prize was a straight 240,000 HawaiianMiles. But now, it appears that amount has been decreased to 200,000 HawaiianMiles. And, in case you’re wondering, that’s still enough for two roundtrip, first-class saver tickets between Hawaii and North America. Alternatively, 200,000 HawaiianMiles will get you five roundtrip economy saver tickets between Hawaii and North America.
In addition to the miles, though, the grand prize winner will receive a four-night stay at the Sheraton Waikiki, inclusive of lunch in a RumFire cabana. And that stay is worth at least $1,500.
Two runners-up will receive a Hawaiian Airlines logo prize pack.
How to Enter
Like the rest of the contest, the entry process is different this year too. Instead of simply entering, this year, as the name suggests, is a photo contest. So between May 1 and May 20, you may enter by posting a photo on Instagram, Facebook, and/or Twitter. The photo must depict how you share or experience aloha. And be sure to caption your photo with a description, while also including the hashtags #CeLEIbrateAloha and #Contest. Photos must be single photos; collages and carousels will not qualify.
Upon the close of the entry period, all entries will be judged by Hawaiian Airlines. Judging will conclude by May 27 and will result in the selection of three finalists. Then, between May 28 and June 8 will be the public voting period.
CeLEIbrate Aloha Photo Contest 2018, Final Thoughts
Hawaiian Airlines’ CeLEIbrate Aloha Photo Contest 2018 is a bit more involved than last year’s contest. But, if you can find a photo that’ll match the theme, entering the contest is a no-brainer. Afterall, if by some remote chance you do win, you’ll receive 200,000 HawaiianMiles and a four-night stay at the Sheraton Waikiki. That’s nothing to sneeze at. Heck, I’d love to win this, as the Sheraton Waikiki would be a great place for a staycation (and would be a great review opportunity).
