Where we've been

Every place on the Travelers' Century Club list we've been to, the places we've called home, the cities we've written about and the hotels that earned a MICHELIN Key. Wine regions are our sweet spot, but we'll go just about anywhere. Pick a country and you'll find everything we wrote while we were there. That's more than 400 stories so far.

22 to go

We count the way the Travelers' Century Club does. The club counts places like Hawaii, Alaska and Scotland on their own, so our 78 works out to 64 countries if you go by the UN list.

How it started

Jeff's first passport came at 21, in 2003, to film a documentary in Kenya. The film was nominated for an Emmy. It didn't win, but he caught the travel bug. His next goal was to reach every inhabited continent before he turned 30, and he made it. Number six was Australia in March 2011, on the trip where he proposed to Amanda. Antarctica is still on the list, and we want to get there soon.

Where we've lived

Places we've called home

We've traveled the world for more than a decade, and there's still no place like home. These are the places we called home for a month or more. We bought groceries, got haircuts, did laundry and took cooking classes. For a little while, we were part of the neighborhood. In 2015 we sold most of what we owned and spent four and a half years as nomads. Chiang Mai is the longest we've lived anywhere outside the US.

Our bucket list

22 of 40 crossed off

When we got married in 2012, we each wrote a bucket list of the places we most wanted to see. Here is where it stands. Every place we crossed off is dated from our own records, with a photo from the trip wherever we published one.

"I revisited that list this week and 30 places remain." Jeff on the One Way Podcast, August 2015.
