Vistana Signature Experiences is the exclusive provider of ownership interests in both Sheraton & Westin Vacation Club. The Vistana brand is a result of Starwood selling its timeshare division to the Interval Leisure Group, LLC. And to celebrate this change, Vistana is giving away one first class trip to Hawaii in their Pick Your Hawaiian Paradise Sweepstakes!
The Hawaiian Paradise Sweepstakes allows entrants to choose their island of destination: Maui or Kauai. The grand prize, not surprisingly is a vacation to either Maui or Kauai. The contest winner will receive:
- Two first class tickets on Hawaiian Airlines via redemption of 175,000 HawaiianMiles
- A Sunshine Helicopter tour for two being either the Hana/Haleakala Tour (Maui) or the Princeville Adventure Tour (Kauai)
- 7 nights and 8 days at either The Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas or The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas
The accommodation will be in a one-bedroom villa, however actual resort selection isn’t guaranteed. Also not guaranteed are the unit and view type. Oddly enough, all of the above must be “consumed” by December 15, 2017. If the flights are being awarded as miles, then you should be able to save those miles if you choose to, right? The fact that the flights are being awarded as miles also means that availability isn’t guaranteed either. You may, in fact, end up not being able to redeem for first class at all. And you’re limited to Hawaiian Airlines flights, so if your airport isn’t serviced by Hawaiian or one of their codeshare partners, then you’ll need to front the cost of your positioning flight.
But still, it’s a (potentially) free, one-week vacation to Hawaii. Can’t really complain there! The contest period runs through September 30, 2016. Residents of all 50 states + the District of Columbia, Canada (except Quebec) and Puerto Rico that were 21 years of age or older by July 8, 2016, are eligible to enter. You can enter once per day during the contest period.
The catch? Probably none, except for getting spammed about buying an ownership interest in a Westin or Sheraton Vacation Club. But that’s pretty easy to block if you don’t win… Good luck to all those that do enter! I know I will! Even if I live in Hawaii ?
