There are several routes from San Francisco to the Point Reyes National Seashore, but I sure am glad I took this one. The Nicasio Reservoir of Marin county was nearly empty when we drove past this area August of 2014. Now the water levels look healthy after winter rains, but I’m not sure how long this will last. For this visit the calm water provided a beautiful photo opportunity.
Yesterday I took a photography trip to Point Reyes. My original intention was to take pictures of the wildflowers at Chimney Rock, but that didn’t work out due to parking restrictions. We decided to photograph Drake’s beach instead, and there will be plenty of excellent photos to share.
But perhaps the best part of the photo journey was seeing this reflection on our drive through Marin county. This was the perfect photo opportunity, and we hadn’t even reached the destination yet! Everything after that was icing on the cake.
