Our second full day in Vegas would see us leave the Strip once again. But unlike the previous day, this time we headed north to Zion National Park. … [Read more...] about Review: Zion National Park

My Morning Walk to Mordor – Queenstown, New Zealand
This morning marked our final day staying at the Hilton Queenstown. I was pretty much chained to my desk the past few days working, so I hardly had the time to explore the area. … [Read more...] about My Morning Walk to Mordor – Queenstown, New Zealand
Andaz Papagayo, Avios in Europe and Flying Hawaiian: My Week in Travel for August 1st
Aloha again from Hawaii. We spent the past week on the big island of Hawaii, and it has been action packed. Our time in Maui was very relaxing, but our time on the big island has been intense. Lots of driving, flying (drones), photography and hiking. … [Read more...] about Andaz Papagayo, Avios in Europe and Flying Hawaiian: My Week in Travel for August 1st
Green Mountain Reflection on a Reservoir in Marin County, California
Today, I will be going on an adventure in Marin County just north of San Francisco. In honor of that exploration, I thought I would share a video from my photo journey through Marin back in March of this year. I doubt the area will be as green, but surely things will still be beautiful. … [Read more...] about Green Mountain Reflection on a Reservoir in Marin County, California
Nicasio Reservoir Reflection in Marin County, California
There are several routes from San Francisco to the Point Reyes National Seashore, but I sure am glad I took this one. The Nicasio Reservoir of Marin county was nearly empty when we drove past this area August of 2014. Now the water levels look healthy after winter rains, but I'm not sure how long this will last. For this visit the calm water provided a beautiful photo … [Read more...] about Nicasio Reservoir Reflection in Marin County, California
View of the Alps from Downtown Davos, Switzerland
You may have heard of Davos because of the world economic forum they host most years, or you may have heard of the great skiing in the area. I was in Davos for neither of these reasons - I was simply there to relax as we began our European adventure. Our time was limited in the city due to irregular sleep patterns and jet-lag, but we did try to make the most out of it … [Read more...] about View of the Alps from Downtown Davos, Switzerland
Sun Setting on the Town of Berchtesgaden, Germany
I am in love with the city of Berchtesgaden in Germany. We first came here on our honeymoon a few years ago, and I was back for two nights last week. The city is small enough to explore in a few hours, but you can always discover something new along the way. This time we climbed above the city to see a view from above, and then came all the way down to the road level as it … [Read more...] about Sun Setting on the Town of Berchtesgaden, Germany
St. Gilgen on the Wolfgangsee in Austria
I got a tip from Andy to visit St. Gilgen and Halstatt while in Austria. Andy is the best. The weather was pretty rough that day, so there were not many compelling photo opportunities for mountains and lakes. Instead, I had to find an area on the waterfront with some color in order to find a decent photo that day. Surely I will visit St. Gilgen again, hopefully with … [Read more...] about St. Gilgen on the Wolfgangsee in Austria
View of Intercontinental Hotel in Davos, Switzerland
Last week I spent two nights in the incredible Intercontinental Davos Hotel in Switzerland. A full review is still to come, but I have to say that this is one of the nicest hotels I have visited since I started playing the travel game. For now, you can see the hotel in the background (it's the big gold bubble). … [Read more...] about View of Intercontinental Hotel in Davos, Switzerland
View of San Francisco from Twin Peaks
If you are into urban hiking, you will have a hard time finding a better opportunity than climbing up to the top of the Twin Peaks in San Francisco. Start out at ground level and work your way up about 1,000 feet to get this view of the city. The hike takes a couple of hours to complete, but you will have plenty of time to rest while admiring the views below. If you go in … [Read more...] about View of San Francisco from Twin Peaks
