Finally on solid ground in the United States, and figured I would do a brief post with a picture that just keeps on drawing my attention above all others.
We were eating lunch on our way to the castle of Barolo, which conveniently houses the wine museum (where you learn about the history of wine). It takes about 2 years to get your final bill (and pay the bill) in Italy, so I went outside to take some photos while we waited. Our restaurant had 360 views of the Barolo wine region, but this was my favorite.
Braving the muddy ground and going off the designated path, I walked down to the rows of vines to get a picture of the surrounding area. I wanted to get the rows of vines leading to the castle in the distance. This proved to be the bestĀ angle. Very happy with the result.
