At the one Hawaii Food & Wine Festival event Mrs. Island Miler went to, we got to sample Brandon Jew’s cuisine. So I knew going to San Francisco that enjoying modern Chinese at Mister Jiu’s was a priority for us.

I’ve loved Salt & Straw since my first visit to Portland back in 2015. And being that San Francisco has a location, I made it a point to sample some seasonal flavors at Salt and Straw San Francisco.
So, dining at The French Laundry was the primary goal while we were in NorCal. But, since we were going to be in San Francisco, and reservations were available, why not have an amazing experience at Atelier Crenn too?
After our ride on the San Francisco Municipal Railway Cable Car, we took a walk around the touristy Fisherman’s Wharf. But the real reason we were here? To grab lunch at Scoma’s.
After settling into the JW Marriott San Francisco Union Square, we headed out to our first dinner in the city. And for our first dinner, I chose the One Michelin Star Rich Table for an intriguing dining experience.
