Lava Fields in Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park

At first I wasn't impressed with Hawai'i volcanoes national park. We paid an entry fee and drove to an active volcano viewing area. Because of safety concerns - you know, because of the active volcano and all - we could only get a certain distance away from the smoldering opening. View from the 122nd Floor of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai

While I'm still not sure how I feel about Dubai, I did enjoy high tea at At.Mosphere restaurant in the 122nd floor of the Burj Khalifa. The views are pretty nice, but the haze around Dubai limited visibility. With the glare coming into the windows, photo options were limited. New Caledonia is already an "out of the way" destination, but adding Isle of Pines on top of it? You will need to add travel day on each side of your trip.
