While I'm still not sure how I feel about Dubai, I did enjoy high tea at At.Mosphere restaurant in the 122nd floor of the Burj Khalifa. The views are pretty nice, but the haze around Dubai limited visibility. With the glare coming into the windows, photo options were limited. But I still liked how this photo of the Dubai Mall and fountain turned out. … [Read more...] about View from the 122nd Floor of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai

Aerial View of the Isle of Pines in New Caledonia
New Caledonia is already an "out of the way" destination, but adding Isle of Pines on top of it? You will need to add travel day on each side of your trip. Even then, a smooth journey isn't guaranteed. Our first flight was canceled (mid flight). We were denied the second flight. The third time was a charm, as we finally were able to set foot on the fabled pine … [Read more...] about Aerial View of the Isle of Pines in New Caledonia
Our First Look at Mount Aspiring, Wanaka New Zealand
For a week we walked into the town of Wanaka taking the same route. Left out of our flat, right down the road to the lake, right onto the path and within 20 minutes we would be in the city. … [Read more...] about Our First Look at Mount Aspiring, Wanaka New Zealand
The “Goonies Rock” in Cannon Beach, Oregon
It's funny how cognitive bias kicks in at all points of my life. My brother visited the "Goonies Rock" in Oregon over 10 years ago, but I never thought about it again. … [Read more...] about The “Goonies Rock” in Cannon Beach, Oregon
A Castle in the Rolling Hills of Barolo, Italy
Finally on solid ground in the United States, and figured I would do a brief post with a picture that just keeps on drawing my attention above all others. We were eating lunch on our way to the castle of Barolo, which conveniently houses the wine museum (where you learn about the history of wine). It takes about 2 years to get your final bill (and pay the bill) in Italy, so … [Read more...] about A Castle in the Rolling Hills of Barolo, Italy

One Last Sunset in Wanaka Before Hitting the Road [Love this Photo]
Greetings from Picton, New Zealand. We are about to take our 21 foot long campervan onto the ferry to Wellington (going from the South Island to the North). I am trying to keep myself occupied so I don't think about driving this beastly vehicle onto a ship. … [Read more...] about One Last Sunset in Wanaka Before Hitting the Road [Love this Photo]
Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach Hotel Review – Meets Expectations
Our final stop in Hawaii was Oahu. Several people told the Jeffsetters that we would hate Waikiki when we posed the "where to stay" question on our blog. That blog post gave us many ideas, and is also how we met blog contributor Kyle, who has now become a friend! Seriously, the Internet is amazing. … [Read more...] about Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach Hotel Review – Meets Expectations
Stunning Drone Video of New Zealand Lakes and Mountains
Today is another travel day. I used to get excited to say that, but now I wish I could stay put for just a little longer. But the show must go on! I thought a good post for today would be showing a video I shot with my drone earlier this week in Wanaka, New Zealand. The video was shot via my DJI Phantom 3 Drone (recently repaired) and the camera was controlled by my … [Read more...] about Stunning Drone Video of New Zealand Lakes and Mountains
